About.me is fine if you just want a photo, a bio, and a few social links in a fixed layout. If you find yourself wanting to add more - link buttons, a music player, a Q&A section, or just a layout that is actually yours to arrange - OMIU is worth trying. The builder is free and you do not need an account to play around with it.
A more flexible page layout
About.me gives you a fixed layout: photo, headline, short bio, social icons. OMIU uses a block-based editor so you can build the page however you want. Add a photo, a bio, link buttons, social icons, a music player, and more - all in the order that makes sense for you. Tabs and accordions let you pack more in without making the page feel overwhelming.
Choosing your style
OMIU includes 10+ themes you can switch instantly. Each theme controls your background color, font, and button style. If you want a dark minimal look, a soft warm aesthetic, or something bolder, there is usually a theme close to what you have in mind. You can also adjust block-level settings like padding, rounding, and image shape.
Try before you create an account
Open the builder from the homepage and design your page - no account needed. When you are happy with it, sign up and save to claim your URL. The free plan is available while OMIU is in alpha. You can edit your profile anytime after that and your URL stays the same.
Is OMIU really free?
Yes. The free plan includes core blocks, themes, and one profile. It stays free while OMIU is in alpha.
What blocks are available?
Text, image, links, social icons, music player, tabs, accordions, Q&A, and more. New blocks are added during the alpha.
