Tellonym Alternative

OMIU has an anonymous Q&A block you can add to your profile. Visitors ask questions without an account, you answer in your dashboard, and you choose which threads appear publicly.

Tellonym is built around one idea: let people send you anonymous questions. It works, but your profile, your audience, and your answers all live inside Tellonym's app on Tellonym's terms. OMIU's Q&A block does the same thing on a page that is actually yours.

Q&A as part of your profile

With OMIU, your Q&A block sits on a page at omiu.me/yourname alongside everything else - your bio, your links, your photos. Visitors ask questions, you answer from your dashboard, and the threads appear publicly on your profile. No separate app to sign up for, no separate audience to build from scratch.

Share that URL in your Instagram bio, your X profile, or your Discord. Anyone who lands on it can see your full profile and drop a question without needing an account.

What the Q&A block looks like

Here is an example of what the Q&A block looks like on a live profile - one anonymous question and one from a signed-in user, both answered:

What's your biggest creative inspiration right now?

alex

Honestly, just going for walks without headphones. You notice things you'd normally tune out.

Do you think raw talent or consistent work matters more?

alex

Consistent work, without question. Talent gets you noticed once - consistency keeps you there.

Example Q&A block - this is what it looks like on a live profile

Anonymous by default, identified if they choose

Visitors can ask without logging in or identifying themselves - fully anonymous. If they have an OMIU account and want their question attributed to them, they can post with their name and profile picture instead. You see both in your inbox; visitors only see what you decide to publish.

You control what goes public

Every question lands in your private dashboard first. Nothing appears on your profile until you answer it and choose to show it. If a question is off-topic, spam, or something you just do not want to engage with publicly, you can ignore it or block the sender. Only the threads you answer show up on your profile.

This is a meaningful difference from platforms like comment sections or open DMs, where you have less say over what sticks to your public page.

Works well for creators and community builders

The Q&A block is especially useful if you already have people following you somewhere - a Discord, a subreddit, a Twitter/X following, a Twitch chat. Point them at your OMIU profile and let them ask questions there. Over time, the answered threads accumulate and become a genuinely useful part of your profile - a public record of questions your community has asked, all answered in your own words.

It is a low-effort way to build a public FAQ that your audience actually writes for you.
